SGW, 5-23-18, Isaiah 46-47

Thanks for listening to “Searching God’s Word”  on KTTR.org  or searchinggodsword.org

Today’s lesson is from Isaiah 46-47. First we find a warning to the Israelites in captivity not to be caught up with the world they live in and follow its gods. They do no good. Then, we find a direct warning to Babylon not to forget who is in charge. God is!  If you enjoy the lesson, tell others about our program and check out searchinggodsword.org.

MSM, 5-23-18, Mark 3:1-6

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 3:1-6. This is another challenge to the traditions surrounding the Sabbath. A man with withered hand is made well. However, the blatant and obvious ignoring of the miracle by the Pharisees, solidifies their opposition to Jesus, driving them to an alliance with the Herodians for his removal.  As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

MSM, 5-22-18, Mark 2:23-28

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 2:23-28. In these verses, Jesus and his followers are confronted for violating a traditional interpretation of the law for the Sabbath. Jesus explained that the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. God’s Word, it is our only guide.  As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

SGW, 5-21-18, 2 Thessalonians 1

Thanks for listening to “Searching God’s Word”  on KTTR.org  or searchinggodsword.org

Tonight, we were in 2 Thessalonians 1. Here we find Paul again addressing some young Christians who were facing persecution for their belief and hope in Christ. He assured them of God’s justice and encouraged them to remain faithful. We hope you enjoy our lesson, but more, we hope it encourages you to live closer to our Savior! Check out searchinggodsword.org!

SGW, 5-21-18, Psalms 113-115

Thanks for listening to “Searching God’s Word”  on KTTR.org  or searchinggodsword.org

Today’s lesson is from Psalms 113-115. These psalms are about praising God. The first declares that God’s people should praise Him. The second asserts that even creation, His world, fears Him. The last one we looked at, declares that there is none like Him!  If you enjoy the lesson, tell others about our program and check out searchinggodsword.org.
