Today we looked at Hebrews 4:1-10. These verses remind us that God has promised a rest. This rest is not just the promised land of old, but a future rest in Christ. We need to be sure we do not miss out on that rest because of disobedience. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

Tonight, we began a study of 1 & 2 Thessalonians. We talked about the establishment of the church in Thessalonica and the difficult circumstances that accompanied it. Paul’s letter of encouragement seeks to shore up some of the missing foundations that were caused by Paul’s need to leave quickly. His promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and his deliverance of Israel from Egypt are great reminders that God keeps His promises. The same is true under the new covenant in His Son!
