Today, our lesson was from Mark 9:38-41. In these verses, John reports that they had attempted to stop someone casting out demons in Jesus name because they were “not with us.” Jesus instructed them to leave them alone, if they are not against us, they are for us. Tonight, we continued our study of 1 Timothy, Chapter 2. In this chapter Paul addresses two things. He instructs Timothy to pray for those in authority. The idea of prayer leads to instructing men to lead in prayer and women to learn in quietness, not exercising authority over men.
