MSM, 5-25-18, FFAF Women leading in Chapel

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today was a Free-for-All-Friday. We talked a little about the news as usual and then discussed how people are affected by the sources they get their news from. The question that arose for our Bible study was “What about our Christian colleges that use men and women to lead in chapel services. Discuss the Bible passages about this.” We looked at 1 Cor. 14:34 and 1 Tim. 2:8-15. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

MSM, 5-24-18, Mark 3:7-21

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 3:7-21. As we continue in Mark, we see the emphasis on his power and authority. His power is demonstrated in the crowds that followed him and the healing and demon removals that took place. His authority is established by his appointment of 12 apostles to preach and teach. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

SGW, 5-23-18, Isaiah 46-47

Thanks for listening to “Searching God’s Word”  on KTTR.org  or searchinggodsword.org

Today’s lesson is from Isaiah 46-47. First we find a warning to the Israelites in captivity not to be caught up with the world they live in and follow its gods. They do no good. Then, we find a direct warning to Babylon not to forget who is in charge. God is!  If you enjoy the lesson, tell others about our program and check out searchinggodsword.org.

MSM, 5-23-18, Mark 3:1-6

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 3:1-6. This is another challenge to the traditions surrounding the Sabbath. A man with withered hand is made well. However, the blatant and obvious ignoring of the miracle by the Pharisees, solidifies their opposition to Jesus, driving them to an alliance with the Herodians for his removal.  As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

SGW, 5-21-18, 2 Thessalonians 1

Thanks for listening to “Searching God’s Word”  on KTTR.org  or searchinggodsword.org

Tonight, we were in 2 Thessalonians 1. Here we find Paul again addressing some young Christians who were facing persecution for their belief and hope in Christ. He assured them of God’s justice and encouraged them to remain faithful. We hope you enjoy our lesson, but more, we hope it encourages you to live closer to our Savior! Check out searchinggodsword.org!
