MSM, 6-14-18, Mark 6:45-56

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 6:45-56. Today we talked about Jesus walking on water and what an amazing, scary thing it was to see. We also mentioned his healing of those around Gennesaret. In both of these events, we discussed the necessity of rest, even when engaged in a worthwhile effort. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

Today, our lesson was from Mark 6:30-44. This is Mark’s account of the feeding of the 5000. Aiming for rest, they found a crowd. Jesus a little food and made it sufficient. Little is much when God is in it! As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

Tonight, we began a study of 1 Timothy. We introduced the letter with a little background on Paul and Timothy, then we looked at the first 11 verses of chapter 1. Paul’s first commission to Timothy was to teach truth and avoid controversy. Still good advice! We hope you enjoy our lesson, but more, we hope it encourages you to live closer to our Savior! Check out searchinggodsword.org!

MSM, 6-11-18, Mark 6:14-29

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 6:14-29. In these verses, Mark identifies and explains that Herod (Antipas) thought Jesus was John the Baptizer resurrected from the dead. His reasoning was flawed and unfounded, facts were lacking. Herod’s disobedience was evident and sin brought consequences. But mostly, again the authority of Jesus was confirmed. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!
