MSM, 5-15-18, Mark 1:15-28

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 1:15-28. Mark continues to demonstrate the authority and power of Jesus. He tells of calling the first disciples. He also heralds Jesus’s unique and authoritative teaching style. This teaching was confirmed by the casting out of a demon who recognized him as the “Holy One of God.” As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 1:9-15. As Mark begins his gospel account, he tells of of Jesus baptism, his temptation in the wilderness and the message that he preached. He is brief and to the point, but conveys the authority and power of Jesus to deliver that message! As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

MSM, 5-10-18, Mark 1:1-8

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today we introduced a study of the gospel of Mark and covered the first 8 verses. Mark’s gospel seems directed to the Roman mindset. It emphasizes authority and power. Consequently, Mark is direct and emphatic. We hope you will enjoy our study of this gospel! As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

Today’s lesson is from Luke 16:1-18. Here we find a story told by Jesus about an unfaithful steward. He was cheating crook, but was admired by his former employer for his craftiness. Jesus uses this to remind us that money/wealth is not our God. However, we can learn stewardship and apply it appropriately to what God has entrusted to us. Focus is the key! If you enjoy the lesson, tell others about our program and check out searchinggodsword.org.
