SGW, 6-11-18, 1 Timothy 1:1-11 and Introduction

Thanks for listening to “Searching God’s Word”  on KTTR.org  or searchinggodsword.org

Tonight, we began a study of 1 Timothy. We introduced the letter with a little background on Paul and Timothy, then we looked at the first 11 verses of chapter 1. Paul’s first commission to Timothy was to teach truth and avoid controversy. Still good advice! We hope you enjoy our lesson, but more, we hope it encourages you to live closer to our Savior! MSM, 6-11-18, Mark 6:14-29

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 6:14-29. In these verses, Mark identifies and explains that Herod (Antipas) thought Jesus was John the Baptizer resurrected from the dead. His reasoning was flawed and unfounded, facts were lacking. Herod’s disobedience was evident and sin brought consequences. But mostly, again the authority of Jesus was confirmed. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

Today’s lesson is from Luke 18:9-17. Two stories about our thinking. The Pharisee and the Tax Collector is about pride and humility. Little children and their relation to Jesus about our attitude toward Him.  If you enjoy the lesson, tell others about our program and check out searchinggodsword.org.

MSM, 6-7-18, Mark 6:7-13

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 6:7-13. These verses tell of the limited commission. Jesus sent the 12 to proclaim repentance. He also taught them reliance on him. His authority and power were again confirmed. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

MSM, 6-6-18, Mark 6:1-6

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 6:1-6. This is an unusual event in Jesus’ ministry. Rejection! In his own home town. Familiarity breeds contempt? A prophet is not without honor, except in his home town. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!
