MSM, 6-20-18, Mark 8:1-21

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 8:1-21. Jesus again feeds a large crowd with very little, 4000 this time. He also is confronted by religious leaders demanding a sign. He warns his disciples beware of the influence of religious and secular leaders, man-made rules.  As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

Today, our lesson was from Mark 7:1-23. This is a story of Jesus’ confrontation over traditions vs law. Specifically, it is about washing hands and defilement. The warning is about replacing God’s commands with man’s traditions.  As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 6:45-56. Today we talked about Jesus walking on water and what an amazing, scary thing it was to see. We also mentioned his healing of those around Gennesaret. In both of these events, we discussed the necessity of rest, even when engaged in a worthwhile effort. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

Today, our lesson was from Mark 6:30-44. This is Mark’s account of the feeding of the 5000. Aiming for rest, they found a crowd. Jesus a little food and made it sufficient. Little is much when God is in it! As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

MSM, 6-11-18, Mark 6:14-29

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 6:14-29. In these verses, Mark identifies and explains that Herod (Antipas) thought Jesus was John the Baptizer resurrected from the dead. His reasoning was flawed and unfounded, facts were lacking. Herod’s disobedience was evident and sin brought consequences. But mostly, again the authority of Jesus was confirmed. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!
