MSM, 5-23-18, Mark 3:1-6

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 3:1-6. This is another challenge to the traditions surrounding the Sabbath. A man with withered hand is made well. However, the blatant and obvious ignoring of the miracle by the Pharisees, solidifies their opposition to Jesus, driving them to an alliance with the Herodians for his removal.  As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

Thanks for listening to “Searching God’s Word”  on KTTR.org  or searchinggodsword.org

Tonight, we were in 2 Thessalonians 1. Here we find Paul again addressing some young Christians who were facing persecution for their belief and hope in Christ. He assured them of God’s justice and encouraged them to remain faithful. We hope you enjoy our lesson, but more, we hope it encourages you to live closer to our Savior! MSM, 5-21-18, Mark 2:18-22

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 2:18-22. In these verses, Jesus answers a question about fasting. We also spent a little time today talking about another shooting, this time in Santa Fe, TX and the spiritual sickness in our society. The only cure is God’s Word. We must continue to proclaim it! As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

MSM, 5-17-18, Mark 2:1-17

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 2:1-17. In these verses, Jesus heals a paralytic brought to him by dedicated friends. He uses the event to demonstrate his authority to forgive sins, and thus his divinity. Afterward, he called Levi (Matthew) to follow him. In eating with Levi and his friends, Jesus challenged the assumptions of the established religious leaders. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

MSM, 5-16-18, Mark 1:29-45

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 1:29-45. Mark continues to demonstrate the authority and power of Jesus through his ability to heal and cast out demons. His healing is complete, his authority unquestioned. Jesus also took time for himself to pray. We also discussed briefly his instructions for those he healed to keep silent. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!
