Today’s lesson is from Isaiah 31-32. In these two chapters we find a warning against reliance on the people and things of this world and leaving God out of the equation. We also are told of a coming King of righteousness and warned not to become complacent, because things can change quickly for the worse. In everything, we trust and obey God. It’s the only sure way! Today’s lesson is from Isaiah 30. It is a warning to not trust in earthly alliances. It reminds us to wait for God to work things out. Trust and obedience are always better than jumping for the nearest perceived safety rope. It’s not always safe, better to trust God and do what He says! SGW, 2-14-18, Isaiah 29

Thanks for listening to “Searching God’s Word”  on KTTR.org  or searchinggodsword.org

Today’s lesson looks at Chapter 29 of Isaiah. A warning to Jerusalem of disaster like they have never seen before from all their earthly enemies. It is also a call to listen to God Himself, not their own ideas or understanding of Him. It concludes with a reminder that the faithful will reveal again what true trust in and obedience to God are all about. I hope you enjoy the lesson, but more, I hope it encourages you to live closer to God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
