SGW, 4-27-18, Luke 16:1-18

Thanks for listening to “Searching God’s Word”  on KTTR.org  or searchinggodsword.org

Today’s lesson is from Luke 16:1-18. Here we find a story told by Jesus about an unfaithful steward. He was cheating crook, but was admired by his former employer for his craftiness. Jesus uses this to remind us that money/wealth is not our God. However, we can learn stewardship and apply it appropriately to what God has entrusted to us. Focus is the key! If you enjoy the lesson, tell others about our program and check out searchinggodsword.org.

MSM, 4-27-18, FFAF Long hair-culture

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today was a Free-for-All-Friday. Today, our question was about whether long hair should disqualify a man from serving publicly in worship. We examined 1 Cor. 11:1-16 and also Deut. 22:5. Although there are many cultural considerations, the main thing seems to be that we maintain the distinction between male and female and that we judge what is proper in the context! As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

MSM, 4-26-18, Hebrews 12:7-11

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today our lesson was from Hebrews 12:7-11. In these verses, we are reminded that discipline is a natural thing in the relationship of a Father and his children. We also discussed the sad lack of context for many people today who do not know this relationship with an earthly father. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today our lesson was from Hebrews 12:1-6. In these verses, we are asked to consider the past heroes of the faith and our pathfinder/pioneer/founder/forerunner, Jesus. His example of suffering and obedience is one we must follow. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

Today’s lesson is from Isaiah 42. This chapter tells of a coming servant who will deliver justice. It tells us to sing a new song about the Creator and ruler of the universe.
