MSM, 6-7-18, Mark 6:7-13

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 6:7-13. These verses tell of the limited commission. Jesus sent the 12 to proclaim repentance. He also taught them reliance on him. His authority and power were again confirmed. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

MSM, 6-6-18, Mark 6:1-6

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 6:1-6. This is an unusual event in Jesus’ ministry. Rejection! In his own home town. Familiarity breeds contempt? A prophet is not without honor, except in his home town. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

MSM, 6-5-18, Mark 5:21-43

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 5:21-43. Here is the story of raising Jairus’s daughter from the dead. It is interrupted by the healing of a woman who had an issue for 12 years. Again, the power and authority of Jesus are aptly chronicled! As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

MSM, 6-4-18, Mark 5:1-20

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today, our lesson was from Mark 5:1-20. This is the story of Jesus casting a legion of demons out of a man. They entered a herd of pigs and were drowned. The local residents asked Jesus to leave and Jesus instructed the recovered man to go and tell, a reversal of most of his instructions. Much to consider! As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!

MSM, 6-1-18, FFAF What about clapping?

Thanks for listening to “Mike & Steve in the Morning”

Today was a Free-for-All-Friday. We dealt with one main issue, clapping in the assembly. Two angles, as accompaniment to singing and as an expression of appreciation. The other question addressed was whether a woman could baptize a person if no one else was available to do it. As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!
