Today, our lesson was from Mark 1:29-45. Mark continues to demonstrate the authority and power of Jesus through his ability to heal and cast out demons. His healing is complete, his authority unquestioned. Jesus also took time for himself to pray. We also discussed briefly his instructions for those he healed to keep silent. Today, our lesson was from Mark 1:15-28. Mark continues to demonstrate the authority and power of Jesus. He tells of calling the first disciples. He also heralds Jesus’s unique and authoritative teaching style. This teaching was confirmed by the casting out of a demon who recognized him as the “Holy One of God.” As usual, we closed with a devo and prayer. Enjoy!
